Momotaro restaurant

Had dinner with friends at the Momotaro Restaurant behind Szabadsag-ter. This is a small fast-foodish type of Chinese restaurant (despite its Japanese name) which serves noodles, dumplings, scallion pancakes, etc. I have been here before but never quite liked the food. This time a friend ordered and, I to my surprise, everything was great. I especially liked the cold noodles which were a welcome treat in this heat. Oh, and Momotaro is heavily airconditioned, giving you one more reason to hang out here on a hot Summer night.

The dumplings were also very nice, much better than in some of the larger Chinese restaurants around Budapest. All in all, I would rate Momotaro as one of the best places if you are into Chinese food.

I too found it was a nice place. Luckily and strangely we got some tables in the restaurant next door, which was not open. We had to walk through pass the kitchen and through an interconnecting part. Very strange but it gave us more space.

The seafood ramen noodles I had seemed as if the noodles just kept on reproducing and I had to leave half of it.
