Bikicsunaj - A star is born
The new craze in town is definitely Mr. Bikicsunáj, the guy who sang Alphaville's hit Big in Japan at the latest Megasztár talent show. Naturally, he dropped out of the competition immediately, but since his performace was aired on TV, his funny pseudo-English lyrics made him an instant celebrity in Hungary. Now, only a couple of weeks after his initial appearance in the show, he is already performing publicly before large audiences and giving concerts.
What makes him so much fun to watch is his lyrics. He is trying to imitate English but does it so badly that it becomes some sort of unknown alien tongue. His new nickname, Mr. Bikicsunáj (pronounced Bikichoonai) is actually his rendition of the English words "Big in Japan."
Being asked whether he considered learning English properly, he answered that this would be a disadvantage for him right now. I guess he is right, after all, it is not his singing that attracts the crowds.
